TDTESS is a simplistic movie cast in simpler times when the tensions between the two superpowers were quite high. I holds your attention with the promise of some future event
and little else. The action is slow, the relationship between Mr. Carpenter and Bobby would, these days, be MOST suspicious to any American parent if not the police. It creeps along with most scenes overly dark and with stullified dialog and with an overall innocence that is charming to watch. I particularly liked the ease at which the robot destroys the armaments of those troops surrounding the ship after Mr. Carpenter is wounded, a good idea.

How can anyone forget The Simpsons? I'm also a big fan of Law & Order and The X-Files, but more for their musical themes. Every time I hear the intro, I get waves of nostalgia.

Good ones. I would also add the Robin's Nest intro for sheer grooviness and the Sandbaggers intro for the Pavlovian excitement it induces in fans.

There I was in Rochester, NY, so close but so very far from the concert of everyone's dreams.
I was an IBM employee in school learning how to maintain and repair IBM's BIG computers, room sized monsters that you would just laugh at today with 256K of CORE Ram and THAT was a BIG one. Little was heard of the CONCERT
itself on the evening news except the TRaffic, the Mud and the disruption to the local populace.
The music came later in 12" LPs by every group there capitalizing on each other and the amazing crowd itself. Bless them all.

Very interesting. Watching this you can really see how much America is a lot like the world back then. you can see pretty much all TV shows and movies are the left and right views of America battling each other with propaganda.

p.s. props to Mookie for knowing what memes are lol. I agree
