Robert Newman. The History of Oil

Part stand up comedy, part lecture. A fascinating and entertaining look at the history of oil. Did you know, for example, that the first troops deployed in the First World War were to Iraq.
Running time: 46 mins.

For those of us not in the broad band server areas (and theres a lot) Watching 30 second video clips requires a massive imput of patience and forbearing. To watch a 46 minute documentry leaves us lacking the will to live. Could you therefore sort a system whereby we could download these films. I for one would love to watch ‘Smashing Telly’ but its just impossible.

    Excellent stuff!,
Its like the Artful Dodger explaining some of history’s biggest crimes with a healthy dose of comedic delight thrown in!.
Mr Newman,if you haven’t read them yet,I urge you to read the “Flashman Papers” by george Mc Donald Fraser, they are the best historical dissection of the fall of the brutish empire possible, with the bonus of being hilariously funny to boot.
